Get the confidence and skills to become more independent, and help to find work, volunteering or further training. This course grows the confidence and abilities of people with a cognitive or intellectual disability. Ability Me leads to a 22301VIC Certificate I in Work Education and a 22302VIC Certificate I in Transition Education.
Content
Build your confidence and independence, and prepare for work or further training by:
- Finding out what you are good at
- Practicing communication skills
- Developing life skills, such as budgeting, traveling, and cooking
- Preparing for the workplace by learning about teamwork, problem solving, planning and organising
- Excursions in the community, including workplace experience and visits
- Getting help in reading job announcements, writing application, and going to interviews

• Evidence of permanent cognitive impairment / intellectual disability
• Working with Children Check

The course is fully funded.

Training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government Funding. Individuals with a disability are encouraged to access government subsidised training.
