Looking to upskill your employees? The Centre offers workplace training and traineeships at your location.
Our current courses in health, aged care, disability and education can be delivered at your workplace. One of our excellent trainers will visit regularly to give on-the-job training, review course work, and assess progress. Your staff will improve their skills and complete a nationally accredited qualification while doing their job.
The Centre also has a range of learners in its courses and programs, who may be suited to start their career with you. We are happy to match talent to employers, and work together on the skills and qualifications they need to do the job from day one.

Skills training in the disability sector
The Centre offers the Foundation Skills for Your Future program to NDIS workers and those wishing to enter the sector through our Disability Industry partners.
It is a Federally funded program to develop language, literacy, numeracy and digital literacy skills for workers
Train your employees
If you are an employer in the disability sector, you can offer this training to your employees to improve their skills. The course contributes to the quality of care in your organisation by:
- increasing digital literacy, the skills needed to work with hardware and software
- improving communication skills to support relationships with co-workers, carers, and clients, including improved hand-over
- working on collaboration skills, and the ability to accept or embrace innovation
- improving the quality of information management, documents, and handovers.
Other sectors
This training may also be useful to other sectors. If you are in another industry and believe this program will benefit your workers, please contact us to discuss your needs and see how we may access funding.

Student work placements are a vital step in the training of students at The Centre. It allows our learners to apply and improve the skills they have learnt in the classroom. With this experience in real life, they are ready for the real work when they complete the course.
The Centre works with a range of organisations in the region. These partners help us deliver quality courses. In turn, they access qualified graduates and develop relationships with potential new employees.

The Centre offers mentoring and support to people who are long-term unemployed or who are at risk of long-term unemployment.
Whether people have cognitive disabilities, experience with the justice system, or learning difficulties, The Centre offers a practical and inspirational program for people who need assistance and support to find work.
We work with individuals to find their strengths, overcome barriers, and offer a new way of learning. Where necessary, the program offers support in (mental) health to assess barriers to learning and work, such as behavioural or learning difficulties.
We offer a number of certificate and short courses that offer steps in the journey to work:
