The Centre is and wants to stay a great place to learn. That is why we have a range of policies to ensure the quality of our courses, the safety of our learners, and the protection of your privacy.
You are at The Centre. Our front office staff, your trainer and your Learner Engagement & Employment Officer are here to help you make the most of your course. You receive a Learner Handbook when you enrol which gives you all you need to know about learning at The Centre.
Frequently asked questions
You can call us to speak to one of our friendly staff during opening hours, or email us at contact@thecentre.vic.edu.au. One of our staff members will get in touch with you. Some courses on this website can also be booked directly online.
We require a minimum of 80% attendance to complete your course. In the event of illness or other events, please email or call us to let us know you will not be able to attend your class. We encourage you to talk to your trainer, our Learning and Engagement team or our front office staff about your questions, suggestions or complaints. You can also email us at complaints@thecentre.vic.edu.au to tell us if something went wrong.
Formal complaints or reports of serious misconduct are to be addressed in writing to the CEO.
If you want to have prior learning recognised, please let us know. We will give you an application kit to have your prior learning recognised. This must be completed before your course starts.
You may already have an USI or you must get one before you start your course. It gives you access to an online account that has all your training records and results from 2015 onwards. You can get an USI quickly at https://www.usi.gov.au/students/get-a-usi.
