Non-Executive Board Directors

We are seeking applications from individuals to join our new Board. A Board that will establish and govern a school that will provide responsive, individualised education for students who are disadvantaged or disengaged from education, in the Wangaratta region.

About Us

The Centre for Continuing Education, as the parent organisation, has over 65 years of experience in community education and community development.  Through its existing work, it has identified a clear need for a specialist senior secondary school. In response, The Centre is establishing a new entity to open and operate this school, to be known as Pathways College.

The Role

As a Non-Executive Board Director, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction, ensuring good governance, and championing our values. This is a voluntary position, ideal for someone who wants to give back to the community and contribute their expertise to a meaningful cause.

Candidates with the following experience are preferred:

• Experience working with or on committees or Boards.
• Experience and knowledge in Education, Finance or Governance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that include the ability to provide open and honest feedback in a respectful manner.
• Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality within legal constraints around this.
