Liam Mossop starts as Teaching Assistant at Cathedral College Wangaratta

Liam Mossop started last Monday at Cathedral College Wangaratta as Teacher Assistant in the year one classroom, after completing his Certificate III in Education Based Support.

Liam was welcomed by Principal Nick Jones, Head of Junior School Greg Newbold, and Mrs. Julie Findlay, Director of Studies. Deb Pearce, Industry Liaison Officer, and Nanette Collins, Business Relationship Officer, of The Centre were also present at this happy occasion.

I managed to get a position working as a teacher’s aide at Cathedral College. I am in the year one classroom. I am really excited about it, because I like to meet new people, and the kids welcomed me really well today,” said Liam.

Liam enrolled two years ago in the Ability Me programme of The Centre, and then went on to follow his dream of becoming a support worker with a Certificate III in Education Based Support.

We are very excited to welcome Liam to the role of Teacher Assistant at Cathedral College. We are sure that Liam will bring his own unique set of skills and abilities to the role and our young people will benefit from working with Liam each day in the classroom,” said Cathedral College Principal, Mr Nick Jones.

Cathedral College Wangaratta is an Independent, Anglican Prep to Year Twelve School with a current enrolment of over 1,000 students.
