Youth Jobs PaTH

Prepare, Trial, Hire (PaTH) Employability Skills Training

Youth Jobs PaTH is an Australian Government employment service that helps young people gain skills and work experience to get and keep a job. It’s not always easy applying for jobs and promoting yourself to employers, but with the right skills, training and work experience, you’ll have a head start.

Become job ready by building your skills and improving your chances of getting a job through PaTH Employability Skills Training (EST).

You will learn:

  • Workplace skills – including managing your work life, reliability, communication skills, problem solving, teamwork and use of technology
  • Job preparation skills
  • Job hunting skills – including assistance in preparing your resume and writing job applications
  • Techniques for cold calling on employers and accessing the hidden job market through social networks
  • Improve your interview skills

Learners will also participate in industry awareness experiences. You can tour workplaces and meet employers to discover employment opportunities and get an understanding of the tasks and roles in different industries.

If you are 15 to 24 years of age and registered in jobactive, you may be eligible to do EST. Chat to your jobactive provider to find out more.

I have been looking for other ways to get employment, and I have found that this course has provided me with the skills I need to be ready for a job once I graduate. Learning how to apply for jobs, make a resume, create cover letters, and how to present yourself properly for a job interview has really helped.”

This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government Funding. Individuals with a disability are encouraged to access government subsidised training.
