Welcome to The Centre

Beyond Ice

Please like Beyond Ice, Wangaratta Facebook Page.

Beyond ICE The Centre supports the Wangaratta Local Drug Action Team’s efforts to reduce the stigma around problematic drug use – this is a barrier that often prevents people from getting the help they need to recover.

Sometimes we can tell, but often we’re not aware, if people we know are grappling with a drug problem. It could be friends, family members, or parents struggling with their children’s use – a lot of the time this is hidden because of the shame and guilt too often associated with drug use. Because of this stigma, some people worry what everyone will think of them if they seek help and this can mean the addiction remains unaddressed and can worsen without treatment.

By sharing and liking some posts from Beyond Ice you’ll be helping to subtly spread the word about treatment and the facts surrounding problematic drugs, along with the message that support and treatment is available and works.

There’s every chance that you might make a difference to someone in your network.

We welcome any comments and ideas you might have for our Beyond Ice project.
