Take the leap and discover your strengths!  Learn the skills to succeed in the workplace

Getting There is an engaging and supportive learning program that helps learners to gain the confidence and skills needed to apply for and enter the workforce, or to go onto further study.

All of the core work skills learned and applied in class are able to demonstrate to potential employers the skills you will be able to bring to the workforce. Getting There is delivered within a small group with individualised learning programs and goals. Learn in a supportive adult learning environment, with hands on learning experiences.

This course is undertaken through:

  • 22472VIC Certificate I in General Education for Adults
  • 22473VIC Certificate II in General Education for Adults

These are both accredited language, literacy and numeracy programs.

Prepare for the workforce:

  • Learn what employers look for and how to become an asset to your workplace
  • Improve your resume writing
  • Practice presenting for a job interview
  • Know what to expect on your first day of a new job

Prepare for life and further study:

  • Develop study skills to go onto further education
  • Understand the world and cultures around us
  • Learn to master your wellbeing, health and happiness
  • Manage stress and get organised
  • Learn about using computers, emails, MS Office and the internet

Start dates and locations for Semester 1 2020:

Getting There takes rolling enrolments for their classes which are located in Wangaratta, Benalla, Baranduda, Broadford and Seymour
