We have a longstanding history of providing education and training within the north east, and have recently expanded our reach down the Hume to Seymour and surrounding areas.

We are a community-based organisation with strong links to Federal, State and Local Government; business and industry; schools, TAFE, and universities; community groups and organisations, building alliances and partnerships for the benefit of learners and the community.

Design and Development Officer

The role of the Design & Development Officer with The Centre is to design, develop and maintain qualifications and programs in line with quality and compliance requirements, policies and procedures.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Centre’s education and training personnel to ensure the delivery of high quality programs.

They will also work closely with The Centre’s Coordinators and Business Development personal to make sure the flow of tasks comply with the Centre’s policies and procedures.

Business Development Officer (North-east Victoria)

Full-time

We are searching for an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Officer to support and grow relationships with key stakeholders of The Centre.

In this role, the successful applicant will provide job services agencies, community organisations and other key support services with information relating to programs and services, to build referral pathways and establish strong links within our local communities.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to develop and build build relationships with local employers to meet their training needs and encourage direct involvement in programs (for example, guest speakers, workplace visits, work experience opportunities for learners).

Applicants must be able to demonstrate an effective communication ability, strong personal organisational and time management skills and be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds, skill and education levels to succeed in this role,

This role will require analysis of local environments to identify and understand local industry and learner needs in identifying and developing new business opportunities.

Required Key Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated experience as a business development officer preferably within an RTO or employment service environment with the ability to identify, build and maintain networks and relationships to support education and training program growth.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of ethical marketing, business development and relationship management strategies that meet contractual and compliance requirements to prospective learners and business contacts.
  3. Demonstrated experience in identifying opportunities and a proven record of achieving KPIs and targets with an emphasis on meeting client/ customer needs

Speech Pathologist – Finding Strengths Project

Fixed term to 28/2/2021

Based in Wangaratta and Wodonga, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of The Centre’s innovative and potentially ground-breaking project to support adults with learning disorders to become more employable. We are working in partnership with a number of agencies and research partner La Trobe University to discover if our approach will improve outcomes for people who are involved with the justice system.

If successful, you will be a member of a trans-disciplinary team undertaking assessments and providing therapeutic interventions, supporting participants to engage in education.

Required Key Selection Criteria

  1. Experience and capability in assessing people with language and learning difficulties using both standardised instruments such as CELF-5 and other clinical assessment tools identified for the project.
  2. Minimum two years’ clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist, ideally working with adult clients and/or clients with socio-economic and other barriers to successfully achieving in education.
  3. Ability to educate and engage people in behavioural change activities.
  4. Ability to work within a case management framework, including maintaining accurate case management records, and participating in team case management support mechanisms.

Enrolment and Administration Officer

Full time – 12 Month Maternity Leave Position
Location – Wangaratta and Surrounds

The role of an Enrolment and Administration Officer with The Centre is to provide commencing and continuing students with timely and accurate information and organisation of enrolment processes. Our Enrolment and Admin team conduct enrolment interviews with potential students, while managing the data entry of enrolments, results and client information.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting The Centre in meeting our contractual requirements for funding and quality and compliance. This role may require some adhoc administration and reception work.

Strong communication, organisation and time management skills are essential to excel within this role.

In this role, our trainers teach our learners by developing the skills required to work as an integration aide.

Our trainers empower learners to unlock their potential by shaping the way learners interact with students, giving them the confidence, skills and knowledge required to deal with the diverse challenges that this industry provides.

To be successful in this role, applicants must be able to demonstrate an effective communication ability, strong personal organisational and time management skills. Our Tutors create a supportive and inclusive learning environment through understanding the needs and challenges of each learner. They implement teaching strategies that are inclusive and maximise each individual’s strengths, through our strengths-based philosophy and approach to teaching and learning.

Our engaging and supportive learning and education programs help learners to gain the confidence and skills needed to apply for and gain employment, or go onto further education, with our tutors and trainers a key contribution to the programs success.
