About the position

As a Learner Engagement and Employment Officer (LEEO) within the Engagement, Support and Employment team, you will work within a collaborative practice model to case manage, support and facilitate the engagement and learning journey of people experiencing disadvantages relating to education and employment.

The Engagement, Support and Employment team are working towards flexible, outcome-focused support tailored to the individual needs of jobseekers and employer/workforce, while still retaining a strong focus on employment outcomes.

As part of the collaborative network of Jobs Victoria Partners, The Centre for Continuing Education Inc will help connect jobseekers with other initiatives to deliver comprehensive, coordinated support with a specific focus on Specialist Services.

About You

We are looking for someone who can operate from a strengths-based, person-centered practice, and can demonstrate a strong focus on providing a pro-social environment that is inclusive, creates a sense of belonging and allows individuals to feel valued and connected to community.

You will:

  • Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal and written skills
  • Have ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to adapt to change & show excellent time management skills
  • Be able to maintain case management records and support online reporting requirements
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality within legal constraints

You will have:

  • Diploma or Bachelor qualification in social work, youth work, family therapy, education, social sciences (preferable)
  • Current employee Victorian Working with Children Check Card (WWCC) (essential)
  • Satisfactory National Police Records Check (essential)
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence (essential)
