Trainer Assessor / Teacher – Transition Education/ Work Education

Location: Mansfield

The Centre delivers a range of programs that empower adults living with a disability to gain independence, find work and lead a meaningful life.

As a Teacher of these programs you will directly help shape your learners future and see them take control over their own lives, whether that is to move into assisted living, to be more independent, volunteer in the community, finish school or find work.

You will be teaching adults with a range of abilities and your contribution will give them the skills, confidence, knowledge and experience to help them achieve their goals.

You will be delivering selected units from the following qualifications:

  • 22301VIC Certificate I in Transition Education
  • 22302VIC Certificate I in Work Education
  • Plus some Pre Accredited training

You must hold teaching qualifications, relevant vocational experience and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

You need to be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, strong personal organisational and time management skills, and be highly motivated, positive and able to engage with learners from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels. We are keen to talk to you if you have a consistent and enthusiastic approach to delivering and assessing training.

Enrolment and Administration Officer (Full Time)

Location: Seymour

The Centre offers a wide range of short courses right through to Nationally Accredited Qualifications from Wodonga down to Wallan.  We take pride in supporting each and every one of our learners and the first step they will take in their learning journey will be with you.  You will take initial enquiries, inform learners of all the information they require, conduct enrolment interviews, data entry of enrolments and process results.

You will be working in a team of Enrolment and Administration Officers and will be required to pick up other Enrolment and Administration Officers work, and they will pick up yours, so you will need to follow a strict process for completing each task that is followed by each Enrolment and Administration Officer.

The person we are seeking will be able to think on their feet, have common sense and pick up processes quickly.  Full training will be provided to the right person.

You will have strong attention to detail, be able to work under pressure and have excellent time management skills be self motivated and thrive in a fast paced environment.  There are a number of regular deadlines that must be met in order to achieve operational requirements.

You will have a previous background in Administration or working on reception and are ready for our next challenge, you will love surrounding yourselves with paperwork, have experience with data entry are highly organised and can create order out of chaos.

Learner Engagement Officer (Part Time)

Location: Seymour

Our Learner Engagement Team engages with Learners, local agencies, services and businesses building pathways and opportunities for disengaged youth and vulnerable members of our communities to engage in positive learning environments that build skills, capability and resilience.

As a Learner Engagement Officer your experience and skills in client centred case management will support individuals experiencing multiple and complex challenges to achieve their goals and aspirations through our Reconnect program.

Customer Service Officer (Part Time)

Foundation Programs Coordinator (Full Time)

Location: Wangaratta

Our courses are achieving outstanding success in helping people to gain self-awareness, rebuild their lives and achieve employment.

Your role will be to coordination the day-to-day running of these foundation programs, operational and professional support of delivery staff, liaison with the program stakeholders and growing the foundation program delivery.

You must have demonstrated experience in working in a busy environment that requires a high degree of flexibility, multi-tasking, autonomous decision-making within accepted organisational processes and prioritising.

Marketing and Promotions Officer (Part-Time – 0.6)

Location: Wangaratta

The Marketing and Promotions Officer is responsible for orchestrating and implementing activities that communicate The Centre’s value proposition and ensure that its communities and target markets receive and understand information relating to The Centre’s programs and initiatives.

You will interact with internal and external stakeholders to understand our market environment and develop key messages and strategies for utilising appropriate communications channels to communicate effectively.

You will be responsible for developing and designing marketing products and other requirements, or purchasing appropriate skills and suppliers to meet requirements, you will also be responsible for driving The Centre’s public relations activities to reinforce our organisation’s positive reputation in our communities.

Program Leader – Community Programs (Full-Time)

Employability Skills Trainer(s)

Wallan, Seymour, Alexandra and Wangaratta

The Centre delivers life changing employability programs to learners with significant barriers to accessing education and employment in North East Victoria and down the Hume corridor to Wallan.

As a Teacher of these programs you will make a direct impact to rebuild these learners’ lives and help them gain employment. You will be assisted by our Learner Engagement Team to ensure each learner gets the support they need to achieve their goals. You will have experience in delivering employment related programs and provide these learners with the tools they need to gain meaningful employment.

Your ability to deliver relevant and relatable employment programs underpinned with Literacy and Numeracy skills and your creative flexible approach to learning, being able to create interesting activities out of current issues or events will give you the flexibility to tailor this course to your learner’s interests.

You will need to be a qualified teacher (trainer and assessor) in order to deliver selected units from 22472VIC Certificate I in General Education for Adults and 22473VIC Certificate II in General Education for Adults. You also must hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and relevant Literacy and Numeracy experience in adult education.

You need to be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, strong personal organisational and time management skills, and be highly motivated, positive and able to engage with learners from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels. Responsibilities and Duties

Required

  • Demonstrated experience delivering employability programs to learners.
  • Ability to work confidently and conscientiously while unsupervised, off site and in different delivery areas to provide high quality education and training programs to the community
  • Two years’ experience as a trainer assessor and can demonstrate currency with training and assessment professional development
  • Experience assessing learners using appropriate methods and recording and reporting assessment outcomes
  • Experience in developing training and assessing activities that incorporate various techniques to engage learners who may be disengaged to achieve positive outcomes

Qualifications and Skills

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a relevant vocational certificate at a level IV or above.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and engaging adult learners
  • Current employee Victorian Working With Children Check Card (WWCC)
