Agriculture and Horticulture
The Centre is now offering a range of courses and units in Agriculture and Horticulture:
The qualification enables you to select a livestock production, cropping or livestock context as a job focus or, in the case of mixed farming enterprises, both cropping and livestock.
This course provides the required training for many Industry Quality Assurance Programs and is necessary to apply for the Victorian Agricultural Chemical Users Permit (ACUP).
This course is designed to enable participants to understand the requirements for purchasing and using 1080 pest animal bait products.
This program has been designed for anyone required to use and maintain a hand- held chainsaw.
This is an ideal way to gain entry-level skills to work as a farm hand in a local farming operation. The units in this short course are from AHC30110 Certificate III in Agriculture and would be credited towards the full qualification if you choose to complete it at a later date.
This course is aimed at training learners to be job ready for an entry level position within an outdoor or farming environment.
This will include learning about soil health, plant identification and care, companion planting, crop rotation, fertiliser and pesticide application.
