Individual Support (Aged Care) Trainer

The Centre is seeking a qualified trainer and assessor to work on a sessional, part-time basis, Thursdays and Fridays with an immediate start to deliver selected units from CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support.

This course supersedes all of the following courses:

  • CHC30212 Certificate III in Aged Care
  • CHC30312 Certificate III in Home and Community care
  • CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability

You must hold relevant vocational experience and qualifications and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

You need to be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, strong personal organisational and time management skills, and be highly motivated, positive and able to engage with learners from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels. We are keen to talk to you if you have a consistent and enthusiastic approach to delivering and assessing training.

Trainer / Assessor – Forklift

Pathways to Possibilities (P2P) Program

Open Door Neighbourhood House, The Centre for Continuing Education and Gateway Health Inc. have established a partnership group to develop and deliver quality programs to meet the diverse learning needs of young people with a disability in the Wangaratta region transitioning from secondary school into meaningful educational, training and employment pathways.

While the partnership group provides the project with expertise in the areas of disability, health, adult education and community development, considerable work is required to develop sustainable structures and processes to ensure that this expertise is maximised in the development and ongoing delivery of the P2P program.

To achieve this, the partnership group will be engaging the services of a Project Development Consultant (PDC) to work collaboratively with them to facilitate the development of the project and a Resource Development Consultant (RDC) to develop quality resources for the program.

Resource Development Consultant (RDC)

The Resource Development Consultant (RDC) role is primarily concerned with developing high quality, specialised resources to support the development and delivery of the P2P.

To ensure that the programs are grounded in best practice approaches to teaching and learning and supported by high quality resources the RDC will have specific expertise in designing educational resources relevant to the needs of people with a disability.

You will need to be able to demonstrate experience in the development and delivery of learning programs designed to meet the needs of people with a diverse range of abilities, work within tight timelines and achieve agreed outcomes.

This is a project contract position ending in May 2018 located in Wangaratta North East Victoria.

Project Development Consultant (PDC)

The Project Development Consultant (PDC), will work collaboratively with the project partners, to complete specific tasks across the following 6 project areas:

  1. Development of Pathways to Possibilities Project Action Plan
  2. The Development of a P2P Project Advisory Group
  3. The Development of a P2P Program Delivery Model
  4. The Development of a Learner Engagement Action Plan
  5. The Development of Strategies and Resources to Support Sustainability and Best-practice
  6. Development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

You will need to be able to demonstrate extensive experience in project management involving collaboration between community based organisations, work within tight timelines and achieve agreed outcomes, have developed facilitation and problem solving skills, the ability to produce written reports and governance tools and extensive experience working within the Community Services, Community Development, Adult Education or Disability Sectors.

This is a project contract position ending in May 2018 located in Wangaratta North East Victoria.

Literacy and Numeracy Trainers

We are looking for a number of passionate, enthusiastic and vibrant Educators to help our learners to build their aspirations and achieve their goals. These learners include people with significant barriers to accessing education and employment.

Our courses are achieving outstanding success in helping people to gain self-awareness, rebuild their lives and achieve employment.

We are seeking qualified trainers and assessors to work on a sessional, part-time basis, with an immediate start to deliver selected units from 22237VIC Certificate II in General Education for Adults. You must hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and relevant Literacy and Numeracy experience in adult education.

You need to be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, strong personal organisational and time management skills, and be highly motivated, positive and able to engage with learners from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels. We are keen to talk to you if you have a consistent and enthusiastic approach to delivering and assessing training.

Business Development Officer

The Centre is looking for a passionate and skilled Business Development Officer with great networks and ability to connect and service our Jobactive partners.

The Business Development Officer – Employability Skills has specific responsibility for building relationships with employment services stakeholders, industry groups and employers, and other relevant stakeholders to develop and close opportunities for The Centre’s employability skills products and services. The purpose of the role is to build the profile and position of The Centre within the employment services sector. The incumbent will also be required to build relationships with local employers to encourage direct involvement in the programs, for example, guest speakers, workplace visits, work experience opportunities for learners.

This is a part time position located in Wangaratta, North East Victoria.
