Employability Skills Trainer – Seymour

The Centre delivers life changing employability programs to learners with significant barriers to accessing education and employment in North
East Victoria and down the Hume corridor to Wallan.

As a Teacher of these programs you will make a direct impact to rebuild these learners’ lives and help them gain employment. You will be assisted by our Learner Engagement Team to ensure each learner gets the support they need to achieve their goals.

You will have experience in delivering employment related programs and provide these learners with the tools they need to gain meaningful employment.

Your ability to deliver relevant and relatable employment programs underpinned with Literacy and Numeracy skills and your creative flexible
approach to learning, being able to create interesting activities out of current issues or events will give you the flexibility to tailor this course to your learner’s interests.

You will need to be a qualified teacher (trainer and assessor) in order to deliver selected units from 22472VIC Certificate I in General Education for Adults and 22473VIC Certificate II in General Education for Adults. You also must hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and  relevant Literacy and Numeracy experience in adult education.

You need to be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, strong personal organisational and time management skills, and be highly
motivated, positive and able to engage with learners from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels. We are keen to talk to you if you have a consistent and enthusiastic approach to delivering and assessing training.

Sport North EastProject Coordinator, ongoing part time position (0.6 EFT)

Sport North East exists to connect people of all abilities with sport and active recreation opportunities in our region.

As a Sport North East Project Coordinator you will have a direct impact on improving clubs capacity to become more welcoming and inclusive, especially for women and under-represented groups. You will work with stakeholders across sport and recreation, government and community and corporate organisations to deliver projects.

Your relevant tertiary qualifications along with your experience and skills in working with regional communities will support clubs and individuals to become more involved in a variety of sports throughout north east Victoria.

Your ability to understand clubs and their culture and to recognise barriers people feel when thinking about getting involved in sport will help you make a real difference to clubs, individuals, families and communities.

Based in Wangaratta and covering the local government areas of Alpine, Indigo, Towong, Wangaratta and Wodonga.

Learner Engagement Officer (Case Management) – Southern Region

The Centre delivers life changing employability programs to learners with significant barriers to accessing education and employment in North East Victoria and down the Hume corridor to Wallan.

Our Learner Engagement Team engages with Learners, local agencies, services and businesses building pathways and opportunities for disengaged youth and vulnerable members of our communities to engage in positive learning environments that build skills, capability and resilience.

As a Learner Engagement Officer your experience and skills in client centred case management will support individuals experiencing multiple and complex challenges to achieve their goals and aspirations through our Reconnect program.

Your “can-do” approach to life will fit perfectly into our dynamic team making a real difference to individuals, families and communities throughout our region.

0.8 – Full time position negotiable

Based in Broadford with outreach to Murindindi, Strathbogie, Mansfield and Mitchell Shires.
